Product Overview

Infinity’s spinel castables combine low-cement technology with magnesia–alumina spinel bonding. The dense microstructure limits slag penetration while maintaining mechanical strength across thermal cycles.

Use in steel ladles and EAF/BOF working linings, cement kiln transition zones and riser ducts, and selected non-ferrous furnaces.

Key Performance

  • Excellent resistance to basic slags and alkali vapors
  • High CCS/MOR at operating temperatures
  • Thermal-shock stability through rapid heat-up cycles
  • Low porosity, high density matrix
Benefit

Slag Resistance

Spinel bond and tuned MgO/Al₂O₃ balance resist corrosive melts.

Benefit

Thermal Stability

Maintains integrity under frequent thermal cycling.

Benefit

Versatility

Grades optimized for steel, cement, and non-ferrous operations.

Installation & Dry-out

  1. Mix with potable water 4–6% using a paddle mixer.
  2. Place by vibration casting. Finish within 20 minutes.
  3. Cure 24 h at ambient; protect from moisture.
  4. Dry-out: 110 °C 6 h → 300 °C 4 h → 600 °C 4 h → controlled ramp to service temp.

Applications

  • Steel: ladles, EAF/BOF working linings
  • Cement: kiln transition zones, riser ducts
  • Non-ferrous: copper and aluminium furnaces
